More web-series reviews… Dahaad – Came out in 2023.  When a series of women are found dead in public bathrooms under mysterious circumstances, Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati is tasked with leading the investigation. As the case unravels she begins to suspect that the seemingly clear-cut suicides may be the work of a serial killer on the loose, triggering a riveting game of cat and mouse between a seasoned criminal and an underdog cop. One of the reviews from IMDB... The many low ratings you see here are the ones who haven't even seen the series and only giving 1 star because Sonakshi was there. IMDb should somehow bring a system where only verified veiwers can give their ratings . Now talking about the series, it is not something new and unique. It's a simple cat and mouse chase between a serial killer and the cops. However , Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar know how to enhance the quality of such simple series . They make it

More web-series reviews…   Happy Family – Conditions Apply – Came out in 2023. The Dholakia family's household have four generations living under one roof and navigate the many ups and downs of their lives together. Starring Raj Babbar, Ratna Pathak Shah, Ayesha Jhulka and others. One of the reviews from IMDB... With every character being an exaggerated stereotype, and every episode trying to heavy-handedly cram some multiple messages down our throats, this show is an utter drag. We only got through the first 2 episodes. The first episode was alright, because it had a bit more of a clear-cut story. Episode 2 just didn't make any sense at all. And in both, the comedy was extraordinarily flat, with poor delivery and writing that makes it seem more like the hip young people are disrespecting and berating the out-of-touch old geezers. And what kind of "happy family" is this, that fights and insults each oth

More web-series reviews… this time all Turkish 😊 !!   Fatma – Came out in 2021.  I chanced upon this series when I saw an article about the Unseen series on Netflix.  I saw that Unseen was a remake of the Turkish series Fatma.  So, I decided to see the original 😊 ! The series follows the story of Fatma (35), an ordinary cleaning lady who commits an unexpected murder while searching for her missing husband, Zafer, who was just released from jail. Zafer's dodgy underground associates soon find out what she did, and the only way for her to survive in this man's world is to continue killing. She gets away with it too - since no one takes her to be more than an ordinary cleaner, she becomes an invisible killer. In the end, murder becomes a release for the years of struggle and grief that she had repressed, and a new part of her identity she must confront. One of the reviews from IMDB... Fatma Yilmaz is not the sort of

More web-series reviews…   Vera Season 12 – Came out in 2023.  With her caustic wit and singular charm, DCI Vera Stanhope leads her team as they face a series of captivating murder mysteries set against the breathtaking Northumberland landscape. One of the reviews from John C Adams... We Brits do a great line in creating TV programmes set in places you’d just love to visit on holiday. This isn’t an accident, given how much of our national income comes from tourism. I live in Berwick upon Tweed, at the northern end of Northumberland, so I’m hooked on Vera, a crime drama featuring Brenda Blethyn set in the county. Season 12 was shown on ITV during the early months of 2023, and with the miracle of Amazon Vera is already available to buy on DVD mere weeks after the last episode aired. There are four episodes. In the opener, ‘Against the Tide’, I was delighted to see the lighthouse at Berwick feature as a filming location
