166. Travelling to Vizianagaram

I know that I had mentioned that the next few blogs would be on the documentaries 😊 .  In the meanwhile, I had an opportunity to go for a trip and had a great time there.  So, I am sharing the same with you over the next few blogs. It all happened as my anniversary was coming.  Instead of buying clothes and go for a dinner, I thought let me organize a trip so that at least we can go outside Hyderabad and it will also be a change for the family.  I had thought of visiting Yadagirigutta, but the construction work was still happening there and it was assumed that it will take about 3-4 more months for the place to be worth visiting.  We had earlier discussed in the family about a Ram temple in Vizianagaram which was built in the shape of a bow.  So, I decided to enquire about the place and find out if the same can be done over a weekend.  The flight was available for Vishakhapatnam.  From there, Vizianagaram was just about an hour and a half distance away.  When checked with the rail

More web-series reviews… Jonathan Creek – Working from his home in a converted windmill, Jonathan Creek is a magician with a natural ability for solving puzzles. He soon puts this ability to the use of solving impossible crimes and mysterious murders. Madeline Magellan, an investigative journalist, is the kind of journalist that generally sticks her nose in where it isn't wanted. While writing a story about the murder of a famous Artist she happens across a quiet but brilliant man named Jonathan Creek. Jonathan makes a living inventing magical tricks for Adam Klaus. Adam is a very famous magician but it is Jonathan that is the real genius behind Adam's illusions. Madeline (Maddy) and Jonathan team up to solve the Artist murder and then (for Jonathan with some reluctance) again team up to solve near-impossible cases. Over the stories, we see that Maddy is in love with Jonathan but Jonathan, being a shy person, doesn't show if he knows about Maddy's feeling for him b

More web-series reviews… Grantchester –  Grantchester is a British ITV detective drama, set in the 1950s Cambridgeshire village of the same name. The show featured first Anglican vicar Sidney Chambers (James Norton) who develop a sideline in sleuthing with the help of Detective Inspector Geordie Keating (Robson Green). The series is based on The Grantchester Mysteries, collections of short stories written by James Runcie. The first series was based on the six stories from the first book, Sidney Chambers and the Shadow of Death, and was broadcast in 2014. Other series were aired in 2016, 17 and 18 with the same cast.  The lead was replaced for the 5th and 6th series.  The sixth series is scheduled to release in 2021. Overall a good series. I saw up to the 4th series till James Norton was the lead.  The premise is similar to Father Brown where the vicar also gets involved is solving mysteries.  The only difference being that Father Brown is an aged person and Sidney is a young one.

Anuradha Kishore, Devki’s close associate (Dimple Kapadia), party senior leader Gopal Das (Kumud Mishra) are few of many other leaders considering themselves fit to sit in this chair. But this chair never comes easily, they must constantly keep striving for it. A parallel story is that of the idealistic campus activist Shiva Shekhar (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) who becomes an overnight icon as he shines at a political event. Shiva now wants to bring the change, sway the youth, overthrow the power pillars – he knows the sweet taste of power. And power corrupts. Shiva and Samar will meet as country politics will cross roads with youth politics. Tandav is the coming together of a series of manipulations tha
