More web-series reviews… Wallander – Ran from 2005 to 2013. 32 episodes of 1h 30 minutes each. A Swedish cop in a small town by the Baltic coast. Based on Henning Mankell detective books. A review from IMDB... Both the first series of Swedish TV's Wallander and the second collection of British TV's interpretation have recently been aired on British TV, and whilst they share a number of elements and qualities (locations, excellent filmatography, thoughtful and impressive 'takes' on the central figure of Kurt Wallander), it's the differences that seem to separate a good television drama from an outstanding one. Obviously the two productions differ in a number of basic ways and it's worth highlighting these as a given. For the most part Swedish Wallander uses Mankel's stories as inspiration, creating unique plots per episode, whilst British Wallander uses the source material and thus far has for the most part faithfully adapted 6 of Mankel's books ...

More web-series reviews… Bench Life – Came in 2024, Tamil webseries. Explores the lives of a couple of engineers on the bench in an Indian IT firm. A review from IMDB... "Bench Life" is not just a web series; it's an authentic and heartfelt portrayal of the unsung phase in an IT professional's journey - the bench. The storyline is crafted with precision, offering a perfect balance of humor, realism, and emotional depth, all tied together with well-placed hooks that keep the audience eagerly awaiting the next scene. The standout aspect of the series is its music and lyrics. The songs are not just background scores; they are integral to the narrative, each carrying profound meaning and blending seamlessly with the emotions on screen. Every frame refl...

More web-series reviews… This week I saw 3 series on hospitals. The series were excellent. Hence today is the hospital series blog, even as some 35 blogs are already waiting to be published 😊 !!  I saw Pulse last. Therefore, I did not find it that excellent as the other two.  I would advise you to see Pulse first so that you don’t face the same predicament!  My blogs are at least 5-6 months old as I keep seeing new movies and web-series. In case you want to catch up on new releases, ping me on my mobile number in Signal (a WhatsApp like app, with stronger security 😊 ) and I would add you to my Movie Recommendations group there! Pulse – Came in 2025. Follows the personal and professional lives of doctors and staff at a busy Miami trauma center. A review from IMDB... It's almost criminal to have so many good-looking people in one show. Honestly, how are they all in the same scene and managing to save lives? Guess we are not complaining. Pulse is a new-ag...
