Bosch Legacy – 3rd season came out in 2025. Supposed to be the last season. Bosch is now making a living as a private investigator two years after he quit the LAPD and finds himself working with one time enemy and top-notch attorney Honey "Money" Chandler. Meanwhile, Bosch's daughter Maddie is venturing into the world of the LAPD.

Just finished watching Season 3 and imho Legacy has gotten better.
I agree with most of the consistent criticisms: The original Bosch intro was MUCH cooler than the Legacy intro, Madison Lintz is entirely unconvincing in her role as an LAPD officer.
The writers pulled back on Honey Chandler's foul-mouthed characterization and her toughness is portrayed this season through actions rather than words - which was the right move.
As many have pointed out, the original Bosch nimbly relied upon the supporting cast, which over time has dwindled into nothingness. The wholesale cast executions continue this season when Jimmy is assassinated.
The S03 final episode is more like a coda than an actual episode. It was a refreshing change to have everything wrapped up at the end of only one episode.
Most of us are watching to follow Titus Welliver's portrayal and I only realized this season that Bosch is a smoker.
Some people don't like the "Mo" character. But you have to remember in the original Bosch, the Hollywood PD building and offices grounded the show. Legacy needed some sort of data retrieval support system for Bosch and Mo provides that without extraneous complications.
Other than the axiomatic social values manipulation where characters seem to routinely bear children that have no genetic resemblance to themselves - imho (to the extent the filmmakers were allowed to) SO3 finally gets is right.
My Take – An excellent watch!
Matlock –Came out in 2024. Follows Madeline Matlock as she rejoins the work force at a prestigious law firm, where she uses her wily tactics to win cases and expose wrongdoing.
A review from IMDB...
When a business place lawyer drama with comedy undertones is written, there's balance needed. Think of the popular and well written SUITS.
This show (in the first episode) does not have that.
Bates, as Matlock, is almost always capable, and soldiers on through this, but the plot and character writing is all over the place. And after an episode 1 significant twist, our connection to Matlock is compromised. The character she presents at the series' outset is a sham, and her true, somewhat bitter and manipulative nature make very hard to root for her while she lies to all of her legal colleagues and clients. Not a good choice by the show's runner.
The initial premise for how Matlock gets hired is also preposterous. So is her character's claim that her name (Matlock) is like the TV show (that starred Andy Griffith). So lots of wink-wink comedy going on. If that's where the tone of the series is supposed to be set, then we're preparing for hijinks. Which, if that was consistent, might be okay.
But the tone of the story is not consistent. We move from silly hiring/probationary period to a serious case. Law enforcement malfeasance (solved in a very unconvincing on-the-stand confession by a dirty cop) and a convoluted evidentiary surprise.
In between we see: an office divorce/custody battle, an affair, bullying, evidence tampering, and out-of-tune light comedy between Matlock and her two young colleagues.
Then the big twist (which I won't spoil here) which hinges on another preposterous plot hole.
At the end of the first episode Matlock stares at the lawyer equivalent of a crime board with three photos of new co-workers that she plans to investigate and put the guilty party "in jail".
One is a black woman, one an old white guy, and one a young white guy.
Given all the virtue signaling that is very front and center, there is absolutely no doubt as to which of the three will be found "guilty", Can't recommend. Which is too bad because Bates can be good, and Jason Ritter is often fun as well.
My Take – I loved it!
Loot Kaand – Came out in 2025. Latika and Palash, two desperate siblings in a small town, plan a simple bank heist, but their scheme unravels a decades-old weapons scandal, forcing them to face dangerous criminals and hidden truths. Two desperate siblings in rural India plan a simple bank heist, but their scheme unravels when it connects to a decades-old weapons scandal, forcing them to face dangerous criminals and hidden truths.

Loot Kand is high on intrigue, but not desperate to tell the story in a great hurry. In fact, it does pleasing character introduction and takes its time to set up the story. By the time you realise that the protagonists are planning an unconventional heist, you have subconsciously entered the universe of the series and the rest is about experiencing their journeys like a fly on the wall.
With every next episode, the thrill and action increases, fresh characters pop in with a few getting bumped off as well. The story gets darker and darker till the cornered protagonists find their way out of this sinister maze leading to a satisfying climax.
Performances are excellent. Saahil Mehta steals your heart with his lovable rogue boy act, Tanya Maniktala grows upon you as the story progresses and Gyanendra Tripathi proves to be the joker of the pack with his controlled, poised enigmatic charm. Saad Bilgrami and Ronjini Chakroborty also stand out, each characters looking rooted to the universe they belong to.
The story and screenplay despite seemingly being a regular heist drama, elevates itself due to its uniqueness. The 1995 Purulia Arms Drop incident blends seamlessly with the bank heist., creating thrill, suspense and chaos in equal measure. Ruchir Arun's direction is dynamic and fluid giving the series its much required pace and bingeworthyness. Cinematography, costumes, productional values are all pretty much appropriate - lending the show the realism it needs. Finally, a top-notch effort from Amazon MX player, a far cry from their usual teenage dramas and love stories.
My Take – Worth a watch!
Adios till next timeπ!!
