Suspects – Suspects is set in a London police station. DS Jack Weston, DC Charlie Steele and DI Martha Bellamy investigate murder cases, missing person's reports, drug overdoses etc. Within every episode a crime is solved in a documentary style. The actors don't have a script. The plot is described roughly, and actors improvise the dialogue and their reactions. The series hardly deals with the private lives of the investigators, it is about the police work. The main cast prepared for the series by taking a police workshop with a retired police officer for several weeks. They learned interview techniques, police terminologies and general day-to-day lingo.

A good series with 23 episodes in 5 series.  Was broadcast between 2014 and 2016.

Father Brown – Father Brown is a BBC One detective period drama that began broadcast on 14 January 2013. Mark Williams stars as the eponymous crime-solving Roman Catholic priest. The series is loosely based on the Father Brown short stories by G. K. Chesterton. The ninth series has been commissioned for broadcast in 2021. Apart from soap operas, it is the second longest-running daytime drama series on BBC TV, after Moving On.

The programme is set during the mid-1950s in the fictional Cotswold village of Kembleford. Father Brown is the priest at St Mary's Catholic Church. He solves murder cases. Father Brown uses the distinctive skills of his close friends as well as his own wits to solve cases, occasionally to the neglect of his more mundane parish duties. His vocation as a priest often gives him an insight to the truth, so that justice (but sometimes, not the letter of the law) may be served. His commitment to obeying the Seal of the Confessional often presents unique circumstances. The time period is when Britain was still struggling with deprivations and other hardships in the aftermath of the Second World War. At that time the country still applied the death penalty as a sentence for capital crimes such as murder. Father Brown opposes capital punishment. A bumbling police inspector, who often arrests the wrong suspect, gets annoyed by Father Brown's success.

A decent series.  I saw the first season and dropped it after that.  The interest level for the detective skills in this, faded after having watched the Morse series😊.

Spooks – Spooks (known as MI-5 in some countries) is a British television spy drama series that originally aired on BBC One from 13 May 2002 to 23 October 2011, consisting of 10 series. The title is a popular colloquialism for spies, and the series follows the work of a group of MI5 officers based at the service's Thames House headquarters, in a highly secure suite of offices known as The Grid. It is notable for various stylistic touches, and its use of popular guest actors, including our Anupam Kher for one of the episodes. In the United States, the show is broadcast under the title MI-5.

The series continued with a film, Spooks: The Greater Good, which was released in 2015.

Overall a pretty watchable series.  I stopped after 2 eposides of season 4 as by the end of season 3, they had removed the 3 main characters that started from the 1st season.  My interest levels waned and I stopped seeing further😊!
