21 Arranging an Outing/Vacation

Earlier, whenever a vacation was planned, it used to take a lot of time to put the plan into action.  Where to go, how to go, where to stay, food availability there, list of places to see there, how much money to take, weather forecast for that area during your travel, how to travel in that location and so on and so forth.

Now, everything can be done sitting in front of your computer and planning your entire trip in a couple of hours.  No need to visit various travel agents to get a good bargain and worrying about your travel right before the actual day of travel.  Sometimes, the worrying extends to the duration of the trip too!

For all your travel needs, you can refer to the following websites, wherein you can find bargain deals and also compare rates across various competitors: -

Through the hotels selection, you can read about the hotels, the different rates offered, the feedback from the guests who stayed in the hotels, distance from the hotel to the places you would like to visit, kind of facilities available in the hotel, online payment for the stay and much more.

For travel, you access these sites and get the lowest rates being offered by them.  Once you have got the rates, you can either book the tickets from the site itself or go to the airline site and book it from there.  Some of these sites charge you more for cancelling and hence it will be prudent to book from the airline site, once you know which airline to book offering the lowest price, through these sites.

Places to see sites, offer the complete list of sites that is on offer in that location.  It also includes review from other tourists who have visited these sites and offer their experiences in the locations.  Do read them before venturing out there.  Some sites have also ranked the attractions (another name of “landmarks” there) so that accordingly you can decide on which attractions to see.

Weather website gives you advance notices of the weather in the area so that you carry relevant clothing or clothes-gear when you visit the site. 

Zoomcar offers you cars for hire in many cities in India.  Instead of hiring a cab for the site seeing, you can actually hire a car and ride it yourself.  The cost charged by them includes the petrol for the entire trip.  So you save a lot using this option instead of hiring a taxi.

167. Ramanarayanam Temple, Vizianagaram

This temple should be on your must-watch bucket list!  It was inaugurated in March 2014.  Not many people are aware of this temple.  I spoke to an official there as to why they are not promoting this in a big way.  He said they have a website and all the details are published there.  I believe, since most of the stuff is mentioned in Telugu language, they are not able to attract many visitors.  Although for the Hanuman 3-d laser projection show, held thrice in the evening, there is a crowd.    The temple is located on the outskirts of the Vizianagaram town. The temple is in the shape of a bow.  At the two ends of each bow, there are 2 temples, one for Ram-Lakshman-Sita and one for Vishnu.  Between the temples, shaped in the two bows, there are two galleries depicting Ramayana.  A total of 72 laminated moldings depict the entire Ramayana. 1 WhatsAppa Mantras

We all are aware of what WhatsApp is and use it almost on an hourly basis now.  These are some of MY mantras that I follow while using WhatsApp.  You might be following some of these on your own without realizing the same!!  In case you have identified more, please feel free to use the comments section to tell me.  Maybe I can publish an updated Mantras List later!!  Fix a fixed time for checking WhatsApp messages and replying to them.   Other times, just switch off the notifications so that you don’t unnecessarily check your phone for new messages.   Most of the times it would have been the same forward that you got 2 days back!!   Please remember, in case of any emergency, the contact would have called you and not have sent a message JJ Forward only those messages that bring some emotion to you – happiness, heart-whelming or something that makes you proud.   No need to forward just because someone else forwarded to you and you want to make others too suffer JJ .   And please
