The Pike County Murders: A Family Massacre – Came out in 2023.  Crime documentary. Eight murders in the Cincinnati region. Seven adults and a 16-year-old boy from the Rhoden family were shot execution-style at three homes and a nearby trailer in 2016.

One of the reviews from IMDB...

There's a lot of information to process with this crime and so much unnecessary and ridiculously insidious information put into the fray- from George's gross attorney making numerous excuses, to people who have the audacity to claim that these hilljacks weren't capable of doing precisely what they did, to details of Angela's half-brother gossiping about things he really didn't need to say, there's so much information that didn't need to be here, and this could have been one episode of 1-2hours.

Devine has showcased his ineptitude numerous times from this murder case, all the way to the train derailment that poisoned people, and his statements regarding illegal drug use by the victims was completely and utterly absurd. When he was actually claiming that these murders could be connected to Mexican cartels we knew what an absolute moron he was. I'm glad these producers did put this in, so perhaps the voters in Ohio can be competent enough to remove him from office.

This defense attorney is beyond pathetic, and that he's allowed to ramble on and on with no pushback from anyone is beyond disgusting- the statements he makes and the accusations he hurls is incomprehensible, and George deserves exactly what he got. That the prosecution allowed Angela to walk away from this crime with only 30 years is beyond disgusting- she was absolutely the mastermind of this entire debacle and all should be in prison until they're vacated from this earth. How people can, in good conscience, do what these abominations did is beyond contempt and that Billy thinks he can withstand a trial is the most shameful and grotesque aspect remaining.

There's so much that didn't need to be shown here but yet, unless you can sift through the unnecessary drama with a quick fast forward, you're going to find yourself watching a lot of pointless nonsense.

My Take – Worth a watch!

Paani Poori – Came out in 2023.  Follows a naive hero, an unyielding woman and their daily lives, including their romance, love, arguments, and so forth.

A review from Talksofcinema...

The hero Linga and the heroine Champika, who work in an IT company, fall in love with each other. The hero Linga wishes to get married and live. Heroine Champika Confused by the failure of her friend’s married life, Champika decides to break off her relationship with Linga, thinking that the love of men in love is fake and changes after marriage.

Champika’s father Elango Kumaravel comes to know about Linga going to Champika’s house to ask the reason for this decision.

He says that both of them have to live together for 7 days without getting married and live like as husband and wife. In these 7 days, if Linga’s love is true, then You can marry him, if not, they can break the relationship. Accordingly, both of them went to live in a separate house for a week. They face various problems in it. Did the couple eventually come together in life OR not…?

Linga, who comes as a job seeker in an IT company, grabs everyone’s attention with a natural performance. From falling in love with his girlfriend to falling in love with his beloved, to fighting to save the man in his apartment when he has chest pain, he has left his mark on all these.

Actress Champika who is playing the role of a scientist who creates robots, has given a great performance by realizing her role. His good looks and body language make him welcome. Elango Kumaravel, who plays the role of Champika’s father, has given a suitable performance not only as a jovial father but also as a guide to the right path of his daughter.

Music Composer Navneeth Sundar’s background music travels in line with the story and cinematographer Praveen Balu has shot it perfectly despite being forced to shoot in very restricted locations.

Paani Poori – unmatched series for lovers

My Take – Worth a watch!

The Village – Came out in 2023. A stranded urbanite and his three unlikely companions who brave an eerie village to rescue his missing family in one night.

A review from IMDB...

Well being fan of horror genre I felt like treat even this movie released on OTA . The moment the movie start any one who like horror genre will come to know its inspired by the wrong turn . Wrong turn one was a very interesting movie one of the best of that time but even decades of its release the maker of the village even after copying the concept are so poor in creativity they did not even make an average series. Wrong turns proves that location plays a very important part in scary movie this movie fails in that department. The back ground score is good , irritating part was they had to unnecessarily bring in so many characters to make it into typical indian content which was totally waste and not required. Imagine this few chaps who are going on special mission were given dialogues to act like comedians the first episode put me off I am not continuing.

My Take - The concept was good.  Good for about a couple of episodes.  Downhill from there. You can give it a miss😊

Cheers till next time😊!!
