This is one of the better true crime docs I've seen, and I've seen a lot.
True crime is a tough genre, as there's sometimes too much emphasis on the procedural aspect while forgetting that this happened to a real person with a real family.
This series made me feel like I understood the person Laci was and why people loved her. The interviews from her friends and mother especially showed so much of her personality and heart when she no longer can. Knowing the person she was made me all the angrier when they examined the evidence towards her husband. How someone can snuff out a life like that and then go on as if nothing happened is something I will never understand.
I'm too young to have seen any of the media surrounding this when it happened, so I'm glad they put out this series to show another generation what happened ( And to prevent the husband from ever leaving prison. I know there are still people saying he is innocent which astounds me.)
Overall a good true crime docuseries that respects the victim and displays the facts while still showing other's opinions. Would recommend.
My Take – An ok watch!
The Umbrella Academy – Season 4 came in 2024. On the same day in October 1989, forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire Wessk r industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. But not everything went according to plan. In their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded. Now almost thirty years old, the six surviving members reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Vanya and Number Five work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death. But the estranged family once again begins to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities, not to mention the imminent threat of a global apocalypse.

I can finally review it now that it's finished its final season. Basically, the first and second season are absolutely amazing, the third season is only worth it for Allison's and Victor's arc, and the forth season was not worth it at all. I would almost say that the second season is better than the first season - there's amazing songs, fun fight sequences, and the setting has so many layers. The first season was still great and introduced the characters and the world so well, but it just didn't have the same quirkiness of season two. When I say The Umbrella Academy is one of my favorite shows, I exclusively the first and second season. Even though there are obvious flaws in these two seasons, most notably in the writing, everything else makes up for it.
Now, as for season three, the Sparrow Academy became more of an annoyance rather than an interesting source of conflict. They were deeply unlikable and I honestly didn't care the least bit about their characters compared to the other two seasons' antagonists. It also didn't help that the song choices went downhill and everything lost a lot of its quirkiness. But, one redeeming quality was Allison's character arc. The things she's been through finally catch up to her and she becomes angry and makes drastic decisions, believing that she deserves better (which she does). Her anger is constantly interlaced with grief. In the first season, she wasn't too interesting of a character, probably because of the whole storyline with Luther. But as the seasons progressed, she became more of a three-dimensional character.
As for season four...I barely associate it to the show. Every plotline was deeply annoying, especially that with Lila and Five. I knew it was coming since season two but I was really hoping they would reconsider it after they realize how weird it is. Honestly, that storyline was the worst part of the season. But I didn't like the way they concluded a lot of the long-running mysteries and the ending was honestly really disappointing. The first episode wasn't bad to be completely honest but once they dig deeper into the storyline, it just gets worse and worse. A part of the reason why it went so downhill was probably because of the six episode length rather than the usual ten episodes. They also obviously had a smaller budget for each episode which really showed through the decreased use of powers and less fight scenes.
In conclusion, season one and two are completely worth it but proceed with caution in the later seasons because it might ruin the show for you a bit.
My Take – The first 2 seasons were good.
Terror Tuesday: Extreme – Came out in 2024. Thailand series. A collection of haunting hit stories inspired by the "Angkhan Khlumpong (Terror Tuesday)" radio program with terrorizing twists and turns that are dialed up to the extreme.

Watched this last night on Netflix.
Okay I am not going to go through every episode but I will go through a few things that I noticed with the series as a whole.
Firstly the series is not scary at all and I was shocked as I have seen some good if not excellent Asian horror movies.
So I was slightly disappointed with this aspect as a whole.
Secondly the stories were okay and were well told.
Is this series worth a watch? Definitely, whilst it's not scary it's worth a watch if you like Asian horror movies or series.
Would i watch a second series, I don't know as I did like it but it was nothing special.
My Take – An ok watch! No horror at all.
Adios till next time😊!
