 Mafia – It released this year on Zee5.  A gripping series starring Namit Das.

 Synopsis from IMDB…

Six friends who were extremely closely knit in their college days reunite for Tanya's bachelor party in Madhupur. However, all six of them are bound by a horrifying incident which had torn them apart for years. The reunion serves to rake up the trauma afresh, turning an idyllic trip into a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. The friends embark on a round of Mafia, the popular game which many of us enjoyed playing in our childhood. Instead of serving as a bonding activity, the game brings out the worst in them, fueling each of them to act on their hidden agendas filled with deceit and betrayal.

Eight episodes in all, that can be binge watched. Only one season so far.  The story ends in the season and you don’t have to wait for the 2nd season!  Worth a watch.

UnDekhi – Hindi-language crime thriller web television series which premiered on Sony Liv on 10 July 2020. The series is based on true incidents and depicts the two aspects of the society – the power-drunk influential people who think they can get away with anything and the oppressed, subjected to years of torture, who finally decide to bring themselves to justice.

Set in West Bengal, the teaser begins with a couple of police officers investigating a murder in the jungle of Sunderbans. They visit along with locals to find a mutilated dead body of a cop named Dibakar Sarkar. When a dead body is received, locals inform Dibyendu Bhattacharya, who is investigating the case, that the body is at least 2-3 days old. They also find out the body was murdered first and then eaten by animals. They also learn the fact that 2 girls are missing from a nearby tribal village. 

The series then shifts to where these 2 girls presently are and what happens to them thereafter.

A very gripping series and thoroughly entertaining.  Series shows reality of our life.  Definitely worth a watch for the story.  One season with 10 episodes.  The story ends in the season and you don’t have to wait for the 2nd season!

Abhay – Abhay is a Hindi-language crime thriller web series. The series revolves around officer Abhay Pratap Singh, an investigating officer with the mind of a criminal, who can go to any extent to solve a case. The first season comprised eight episodes and was released on Zee5 in February 2019.  This is Kunal Khemu’s first foray in web-series and he has used the opportunity very well.

The first season had 8 episodes.  All the episodes are on different stories.  However, the life of Abhay and his relationships form a part of all the series.  Second season (Abhay2) with 5 episodes have been released so far with the rest of the episodes getting released on 29th September.  The second season too follows the first part.  You do not need to see the 1st season to see the 2nd season. 

The series is very well directed.  Definitely worth a watch.

Breathe: Into the Shadows – Hindi crime drama thriller featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Nithya Menon and Amit Sadh.  Released in July 2020.  This is the second season of the Breathe franchise.  The first one feature Madhavan and Amit Sadh and came out in 2018.  If you have seen the first season, you can easily guess the villain in the second season😊.

Meanwhile, Kabir Sawant's journey continues in the hostile environment of the Delhi Crime branch. Lies, deceit and mind games begin when Kabir is given charge of the investigation, and meets Avinash. How far will Avinash go to save his daughter?

Not as gripping as the first season.  One-time watch only.  Amit Sadh plays the same role as in the first season.

167. Ramanarayanam Temple, Vizianagaram

This temple should be on your must-watch bucket list!  It was inaugurated in March 2014.  Not many people are aware of this temple.  I spoke to an official there as to why they are not promoting this in a big way.  He said they have a website and all the details are published there.  I believe, since most of the stuff is mentioned in Telugu language, they are not able to attract many visitors.  Although for the Hanuman 3-d laser projection show, held thrice in the evening, there is a crowd.    The temple is located on the outskirts of the Vizianagaram town. The temple is in the shape of a bow.  At the two ends of each bow, there are 2 temples, one for Ram-Lakshman-Sita and one for Vishnu.  Between the temples, shaped in the two bows, there are two galleries depicting Ramayana.  A total of 72 laminated moldings depict the entire Ramayana. 1 WhatsAppa Mantras

We all are aware of what WhatsApp is and use it almost on an hourly basis now.  These are some of MY mantras that I follow while using WhatsApp.  You might be following some of these on your own without realizing the same!!  In case you have identified more, please feel free to use the comments section to tell me.  Maybe I can publish an updated Mantras List later!!  Fix a fixed time for checking WhatsApp messages and replying to them.   Other times, just switch off the notifications so that you don’t unnecessarily check your phone for new messages.   Most of the times it would have been the same forward that you got 2 days back!!   Please remember, in case of any emergency, the contact would have called you and not have sent a message JJ Forward only those messages that bring some emotion to you – happiness, heart-whelming or something that makes you proud.   No need to forward just because someone else forwarded to you and you want to make others too suffer JJ .   And please
