147. Exercises for a healthier YOU

I was the worst guy in following a regime for exercising.  After a couple of days, I will get tired of it (not physically😊) and will stop doing it.  Boredom would creep in and I will rather do something else other that doing the exercises!!  When I met with an accident and my knee broke, I diligently used to do the leg exercises as it was a case of survival of the leg😊 rather than the need to keep fit.  This also made me drive down all the way to my cousin, Murali’s house to get his cycle exercising bike so that I can properly exercise my legs.  Even then, I had to watch something on TV to ensure that the time spent cycling was also used to distract me from thinking of the boredom of doing the exercise.  After sometime the cycling exercise too became boring and I stopped using the cycle😊!!

Until, my college friend, Sunil (Dukku), told me of a simple way to exercise.  He gave me a YouTube link and told me that this exercise was a good way to ensure the whole body gets exercised.  I went to the site and saw that whatever they were doing was doable by me😊.  Mostly the exercises in YouTube are so complex that unless you are fit, you can never do those exercises.  When I saw that this exercise was so doable, I browsed further on the YouTube and identified 3 more exercises that are easy to do (for me😊) and hopefully will prove to be good in the long run.  The main criteria for selecting these exercises were that I should be able to do all of them.  Of course, by doing these exercises, I sweat a lot, indicating that something is happening in my body and I am losing calories😊.  I have been doing these exercises for some 20 days now on a daily basis and they have certainly been helpful.

I am sharing these here so that anyone who is interested, can follow this and improve their health😊.  One more advantage is that you do these exercises seeing the video so that your concentration also does not wander elsewhere😊.  As you also see the trainer doing it, you also get in the mood and just copy them😊.  I normally open the YouTube link on my laptop.  The laptop is connected to my TV and I then watch the video on TV and then do the exercises alongside.

This is the first exercise.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYuw4f1c4xs

There are just 4 steps in this exercise. Step sideways, Kick the air, lift your knee and walk forward and backwards.  The intensity increases over time.  And you also get to move your hands for exercising the hands too.  Although the total duration of this exercise is of 45 minutes and you walk 3 miles (about 4.8kms), I normally stop at 15 or 30 minutes (at the 1- or 2-mile mark).  I am yet to do all the 45 minutes, at a stretch!  It is not necessary to do all in the first day itself!! You can do as per your body requirements😊!!

The next 3 exercises are done by a single trainer.  These are more to do with reducing your tummy😊!!  I do all these exercises back-to-back.  These 3 exercises are of a total of 18 minutes.  When you are doing these exercises on a regular basis, you can skip the talking and delve straight to the point where the actual exercise starts. The 3 exercises are as below: -

So, in all total, I do about 33 or 48 minutes of exercise each day, depending on my mood😊.  And since it has benefitted me, I am sharing these with you.

It you are a beginner, beware that there will be a slight pain in your thighs, back and shoulder😊.  Just a slight bearable discomfort for the initial day or two.

Cheers!!
