8 Gas Booking Online

This is the scenario, in India, when you normally book your gas cylinder for a refill: -

You call the Dealer
You call the toll-free number
Dealer number is busy
Go through the automated messages
You call and call again till you get the number
Key in your area STD code and the phone number
During the call, you search where u wrote the consumer number and then give it to operator
Confirm your acceptance for the refill
Give the number and ask when the gas will come
Hear the confirmation message
Hang up
Hang up
Call the dealer after 2 days as to when the gas will come
Call the dealer after 2 days as to when the gas will come

When the gas delivery boy comes with the cylinder, you don’t have sufficient change with you.  He also asks for a delivery charge for bringing the cylinder to your doorstep.  On the whole, in addition to the gas price, you end up paying about Rs 20-50 more.

Now use a new way to book your cylinder refill, in case you are not following it already. The 3 gas companies, HP, Indane and Bharat gas have their own website wherein you can book your refill and make online payments. I am sure other gas companies too might have their own website on this.  Following are these 3 companies’ websites where you can create your login id and password.

You can check your subsidy consumption, book refills and do other transactions related to your connection too.  You can also track when the cylinder will reach you. If you pay online, Govt is giving a Rs 5 discount, as of now. This they have started post-demonetization and to boost online payments.  But they charge Rs 7.50+ for credit card or debit card transactions.  So in effect, you are not gaining anything.  When the delivery boy comes, you don’t have to pay anything as you can inform him that you have already paid for the gas! 

Once the boy asked me for tea-water money. I asked him how many spoons sugar he takes so that I can give him the tea.  From that time, he doesn’t ask me for the extra money😊.  However he tries this trick when my mother is around.  So I make sure that I am always available at home after I book the cylinder😊😊.

167. Ramanarayanam Temple, Vizianagaram

This temple should be on your must-watch bucket list!  It was inaugurated in March 2014.  Not many people are aware of this temple.  I spoke to an official there as to why they are not promoting this in a big way.  He said they have a website and all the details are published there.  I believe, since most of the stuff is mentioned in Telugu language, they are not able to attract many visitors.  Although for the Hanuman 3-d laser projection show, held thrice in the evening, there is a crowd.    The temple is located on the outskirts of the Vizianagaram town. The temple is in the shape of a bow.  At the two ends of each bow, there are 2 temples, one for Ram-Lakshman-Sita and one for Vishnu.  Between the temples, shaped in the two bows, there are two galleries depicting Ramayana.  A total of 72 laminated moldings depict the entire Ramayana. 1 WhatsAppa Mantras
